The Lake Sports association organized, the afternoon of December 11, 2009, in a convivial environment in the yachting club of the Lake, a reception in the honour of its civil team of oar. During a whole season full of activities and participations in several competitions, the team in question, collected many titles and had a good ranking in national and regional competitions. The canoeing team obtained both the championship as well as the cup of Tunisia, some of its athletes were ranked 2nd, in sea canoeing they also had very honourable performances during the last Arab championship of canoeing organized in October 2009 in Egypt , by obtaining 21 medals including 3 gold and 10 silver. Not being able to attend the ceremony because of the urgent professional obligations, Mr Belgacem Abdelli, SPLT General manager entrusted Mr Mohamed Hamouda SPLT Sales manager to express to the athletes his feelings of joy; his warm congratulations for their performances as well as his sincere wishes of success.

     The ceremony was also attended by the presence of Slim Ben Boubaker, Mokhtar Ben Amor and Fayçal Soula, respectively: Vice-president, Treasurer and Technical Director of the Tunisian canoeing Federation, whom encouraged the young champions and shared their joy. In consideration of the team hard work, its seriousness as well as its perseverance in the various competitions, the association awarded, via its president Mr Mohamed Sami Zarrouk, prices and gifts in motivation to the team members who obtained distinctions. In margin of this event the federation honoured Mr Belgacem Abdelli; the company General manager for his continuous supervision to the association and to the canoeing activity as well as Mr Sami Zarrouk President of the Lake Sports association in recognition and consideration of his remarkable work in favour of the A.S.L oar team.
